Portable Sawmill Upgrades to become the best sawmill ever

We are still working hard to make sure the Skillmill exceeds everyone's expectations. We listen to feedback from our customers to ensure this happens. On this page will be updates that we made to the Skillmill.

Upgrades on the Skillmill - Available from 1st September 2007
Water Bottle The water bottle is now heavier duty and holds twice the capacity of the previous one, which means less refilling! It also comes with a larger on/off tap which connects into the existing water line. The existing black tap can now be used to control flow, with the new water bottle tap just for easy access to on/off function. This unit also comes with two removable upgrade brackets so you can purchase this as an upgrade kit for your existing Skillmill.

Horizontal Adjustment No more tapping that shaft for horizontal plane! There are now two setscrews mounted on the inside of the bed for more exact adjustments. Screw either direction to adjust the rollers up or down, which levels the blade on the log horizontally.

Vertical Adjustment There is now a completely new adjustment which is totally independent of the horizontal adjustment - plus no more washers to remove or add. This new adjustment bolt on the pivot unit gives you a more precise adjustment to your vertical depth of the blade.

Emergency Stop Bracket The bracket is now a permanent fixture to the push handle, while the Emergency Stop box is mounted to simply pivot on or off the bracket, when removing the center unit.

Shop Cone Wrench Every Skillmill now comes with a thinner 19mm Shop Cone Wrench for easier access to those narrow horizontal, vertical and roller adjustments.

Sawdust Slot The main surface plate of the Skillmill center unit has been slightly lasered out along the inside edges, to prevent sawdust buildup during continuous sawing.
