Your mission - QA Engineer (SDET)

Our vision of the Moonfare platform is to create something seamless, high performing and disruptive. Our clients and the nature of our industry demand this. Our QA Engineers are instrumental in realising this vision and as the platform grows in complexity and features, so does the need for additional, scalable testing. We are now looking for a QA Engineer to join a tight-knit team who understand our platform inside and out and are committed to the highest standards of quality in developing features and tests. You will have the opportunity to work with whichever tools enable you to deliver this vision, experiment and be supported by the camaraderie of a team who love what they do.  

You will be responsible for

• Contribute to a culture of software quality best practice
• Work with the Product team to plan new feature developments
• Work on side projects that increase the scalability, effectiveness and efficiency of the QA team
• Building automated tests that continuously test Moonfare products
• Owning and maintaining all scripts to run tests
• Building and maintaining frameworks for cross browser/multiple browser testing.
• Building end-to-end automated tests that will constantly test across multiple shopping cart platforms
• Building the roadmap and process for iterating tests and writing new cases  
• Owning and maintain load testing frameworks
• Stress testing Moonfare’s APIs and services to identify weaknesses and max rps we can support
• Assist with support queries for quick resolution of customer requests
• Report into the Head of Quality whilst being part of an engaging and supportive team

What you bring

• Experience working as a QA or Test Engineer 
• Experience working across and holistically understanding a complex product
• Experience working with Agile methodologies
• Passion about quality and instilling software hygiene practices into engineering teams
• Technical understanding and experience with:

1. AWS Lambda or similar serverless platforms 
2. Test architecture
3. Python
4. Javascript
5. Selenium

• A logical thinking style to understanding impacts of platform changes
• Excitement to share knowledge and mentor junior engineers
• Comfort working with ambiguity in a rapidly changing environment
• A healthy level of skepticism and comfortable putting ideas forward
• Professional fluency in English (spoken and written)
