Freelance German Copywriter

Vinted is the world’s biggest second-hand fashion marketplace – a platform where 30 million members from 12 countries come to sell and shop for pre-loved clothes and accessories. Our mission is simple: we want to make second-hand the first choice globally.

As our new freelance German Copywriter, you’ll employ your skills to create written communication in German, as well as localise content based on English source copy.

Your main responsibilities will be writing copy for Vinted’s communication campaigns, as well as our apps and websites. Eventually, we may also need your help with our digital marketing texts.

You’ll work in close cooperation with Vinted’s in-house copywriters and our Brand Marketing team. The ideal candidate is someone who’s familiar with local trends and is thoroughly flexible, responsive, and reliable.

In this position, you’ll:

• Create German copy based on thorough briefs and adapt first drafts to feedback from Vinted’s teams
• Proofread German copy written by other people at Vinted before it goes out to our members
• Translate texts from English, tailoring them to a German audience and making them sound uniquely local

About you:

• A native German speaker with experience writing, editing, and proofreading copy
• A person who’s able to think creatively and turn ideas into copy
• A copywriter who meets deadlines, follows briefs closely and works well under pressure
