Previously Alexander was Head of Design for Vênoor Living, a new sustainable online lifestyle brand. He was responsible for the design direction, which included product development from conception, through sampling, production and QC. For Vênoor he travelled to various factories worldwide (particularly to Vietnam and India, as well as Europe), where he developed sustainable and ethical practices through the entire supply and production chain.

His work focuses on re-examining traditional craftsmanship, in order to highlight the natural beauty of materials and draw attention to small details and the making process.

He completed a Foundation Degree in Furniture Making and a BA in Furniture and Product Design at the CASS School of Design. During his studies, he started developing his professional practice by doing a placement with the Scenic Carpentry Department of The Royal Opera House and interning at Philip Michael Wolfson Design Studio, Zaha Hadid's former Head of Design, which helped to build his feeling for material, colours and structures.

Alexander was awarded the 'Frederick Parker Award' in 2013 for best contemporary chair design by The Worshipful Company of Furniture Makers and was the winner of the 'Heal's Discovers Design Competition' in 2013.

Alexander was a Designer in Residence at the CASS School of Design and set up his own studio in 2013. He has since launched products under his own name and been involved in freelance projects.
