Beek - 25-04-20 Sometimes cementeries can be fun, especially when they are old and situated near old churches and trees in the midst of Beek, Gelderland, Netherlands. I know this one for all my life and its official name is the ‘Bartholomeuskerkje’. That is where I went for a sketching session with my dad last Thursday where I did 90 percent of the drawing. Today I added some leafs in the chesnut trees in the front and accentuated the vintage bricks and boulders in church wall. Furthermore I made the sky a little darker for the roof top to pop out maximally. In the background the newer“Sint Bartholomeuskerk” is visible. Graphite pencil drawing (Pentel 0.5 mm, 3B) on Winsor & Newton paper (14.8 x 21 x 0.1 cm – A5 format) Artist: Corné Akkers
