Painting & Sculpture Painting on Canvas Artistic Painting

Lancelot Brown, known as Capability Brown, was an English landscape architect, known above all for his peculiar architectural style of gardens and parks which was defined as "English", which later spread to the rest of Europe in reaction to "the French style". » dominant until the second half of the eighteenth century. Brown's style was defined in one word: "Capability" (i.e. possibility, potential) which became his nickname. This is because his design philosophy aimed to enhance the potential of a place, rather than impose abstract needs or concepts.
