La Bottega del Vino" is a wine shop, but also a small bistro built in Milan a few steps from Parco Sempione and the Arena Civica, in an area dedicated to the city's nightlife. The challenge was to give new life to an environment mistreated by the different uses that have been made over the years. The narrow and strongly elongated nature of the plant was the starting point of the architectural restyling. The space has been divided into several pass-through environments, with a rather intimate atmosphere, albeit dialoguing with the surrounding urban context through large floor-to-ceiling windows. The treatment of the surfaces is a clear reference to wine-making environments: the wood that covers the floor recalls the wood of the barrels in which the wine is left to age, the peeling walls allude to the traditional wine cellars. It is the celebration of wine. Wine not only to be tasted, to be sipped in the dim light of soft lights, but a wine that furnishes and warms the architectural environment. Wine that in the form of multi-shaped bottles fills old beliefs, colors bottles of the most disparate shapes that animate the walls of the room as objects of contemporary art.
