Like a phoenix, the new Ricci in Piazza della Repubblica rises from the ashes of its former self in an entirely made-over version – new materials, new colors, a new way of interaction. Crossing the threshold, the sense is that of entering a large, high-ceilinged box. Brown is the prevailing color. The bar dominates the space – geometric, massive with its 10-meter length, its perfectly joined strips of wood that slide into one another creating, along with the custom lighting, a skillful interplay of luminosity and dark. A theme that re-appears in a portion of the ceiling and wall of the bar area. Muted, artificial light descends from the ceiling, like rain from the sky, through dozens of rods that form the light fixtures. This is the place for talk, tasting, meeting, a place that runs parallel to the frenzy of everyday life. Year: 2010 Location: Milan Area: 297+43 mq
