Parthenon Dancer
'Parthenon Dancer' references the beauty and excellence in the making of ancient Greek/Roman sculpture and my delight in being able to celebrate a particular sculpture by enabling what remains of it to fly and dance across the sky. The highly decorative and brightly coloured surface of the sculpture provides an additional visual dynamic and references the fact that these sculptures were, in their original state, made to look more alive by having their surfaces hand-painted, trompe l'oeil like. My artworks can be printed on a variety of materials and have the potential to be produced in a range of sizes, including large scale production. I have 1000+ artworks in my portfolio - the majority were made in the past 4 years. Many can be viewed on my website www.coldwellandcoldwell.co.uk My artworks appear in Galleries, Corporate and Private Spaces, used as Illustrations for Printed and Digital Media applications (Books, Magazines, Advertising and Web) - Commissions Considered
