The Wrong Madonna

'The Wrong Madonna' is a counterpoint response to the much-visited subject of the Annunciation by Renaissance artists and many others: the announcement by the Archangel Gabriel to the Blessed Virgin Mary that she would conceive and that she would conceive and become the mother of Jesus, the Jewish messiah, and Son of God. In my Wrong Madonna, Maralyn Munroe hs acquired the wings of an angel, the porn star, Stormy Daniels, occupies the seat in place of the Virgin Mary and the singer/actress Madonna sits in the cell, wearing a crown... reading an upside-down book and observes events. My artworks can be printed on a variety of materials and have the potential to be produced in a range of sizes, including large scale production.
